Environment and Water For Justice

The primary focus of the programme is to advocate for justice on water and environment issues that affect communities in Lesotho. While TRC believes that economic activities are crucial to realising development, it is against any form of development whose focus is not in the interest and welfare of the public. Through this programme, TRC has been fighting tirelessly for the economic rights and compensation for individuals and communities affected by the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. Commendable strides have been made in this area. TRC continues to keep an eye on other water and environment projects, which include the right to free water, clean air and environment.
