The library is the foundation of TRC's identity as a resource centre for justice, peace, and participatory development in Lesotho. We make a variety of books and other materials available for use by groups and individuals working in the fields of human rights, peace, democracy and participatory development.

The programme is the core of TRC's business. It is a repository of knowledge accessed and used by TRC team, students and policy makers to broaden their perspectives on different issues. The Library has books, journals, reports and videos, all which contain important development material. The Library has proved itself as the key source of important information on social, political, economic and cultural issues in Lesotho.

Our collection focuses on community development, agriculture, theology, conflict resolution, human rights, regional history, and biography. We also have books of African literature, Sesotho works, and books for younger readers. In addition to books, the library contains periodicals, newspapers, reports, grey literature, reference works, encyclopedias, and videos.

We offer photocopying and faxing services, as well as computerized searches of our books.

Reaching Out

TRC seeks to build awareness of the Library through its Library Outreach Program . The Library staff travels to high schools around the country, introducing students and teachers to the TRC Library and encouraging them to make use of its resources. The Outreach Program also informs students and teachers of other TRC activites, and encourages them to become members of TRC.

How to get to the new building:
