TRC participated in the World Press Freedom Day Celebrations held in Hlotse, Leribe

Impact (quantitative & qualitative): Through a speech that the Director of TRC delivered at the function, people knew TRC's stance on the freedom of the media and that of expression of opinion. The director highlighted the media's tendency to take partisan lines in their reportage and stated that it was not in keeping with good journalism. He asserted that media in the country was bogged down by fear to expose maladies of society. This underscored TRC's unshakable stance on uprooting corruption. This made TRC's position on good governance well known. The director also highlighted TRC's reason to partner with MISA – Lesotho and UNESCO Commission. This gesture he said, was triggered by the centre's quest for the protection of all rights that inhere to all citizens of the country.
