TRC conducted a Radio Programme at the Catholic Radio Station on:

‘why the media is failing to cover critical issues beyond mere straightforward reporting"

Impact (quantitative & qualitative): The programme gave the audience an opportunity to respond to why local media practitioners were not delving into the nitty-gritty of national issues, but only provided mere facts that were only surface. It invoked the audiences' response to the question of national debate and agenda setting which is perceived to be at its embryonic state given the media's reporting style that is limited to facts. Given the nature of debate that was created, two people called giving a narrow impact (quantitatively). But in terms of the qualitative impact, there is no barometer used as of now to gauge the change in the characteristic and attitudes of audiences.
