TRC produced an article for the So This is Democracy, a publication for the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA): State of the media in Lesotho in 2008

Impact (quantitative & qualitative): The article focused on the challenges that confronted media practitioners post the 2007 snap election. It delved into the state of the broadcasting media in the country. It looked at the print media and the challenges that confront the sector. It looked at the new legislations passed by act of parliament within the period between 2008-2009. It interrogated the pieces of legislation in terms of how they advanced or affected freedom of expression of opinion. This article communicated TRC's position on the right to freedom of expression of opinion that inheres to all Basotho, but particularly the media. It addressed the issue of laws that hindered part or full enjoyment of this right by all citizens, but particularly by the media.
