The Transformation Resource Centre (TRC) wishes to invite the you to a ceremony to launch its website Monday, May 31, 2004.
We believe that, apart from improved contacts with the outside world, the website will enhance the organisation’s profile and also boost the country’s image. In addition, we are proud to join other websites from the government, local companies and other organisations as partners in the information age.
The TRC website is another milestone in the NGO’s proud twenty-five year history of working for the rights of the poor and marginalized. Formed in 1979, the TRC has always been committed to peace, justice and participatory development. Through its four divisions – the Library, Information and Communication, Democracy and Water Resources Advocacy - the TRC has chalked up a number of successes in human rights lobbying and advocacy, the most recent being compensation for communities resettled by the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP).
