The programme focuses on civil education for citizen empowerment. It aims at giving citizens information and training to be active participants in the affairs of their country. The programme also enhances public participation in parliament process. It also strengthens relations between civil society and the parliament. It promotes and protects and promotes and protects basic human rights of the Basotho nation. Lesotho Democracy Programme under Democracy and Human Rights aims at strengthening the parliament and enhancing good governance practices in Lesotho.
